5 QUESTIONS WITH JEFFERY "HURRICANE" DUFFOUR
When did you discover your passion for dance & fitness?
I started my fitness journey seven years ago to improve my personal fitness and also as a hobby. My passion for fitness grew when I saw a changes in my body which led me to helping other people achieve their fitness goals. Dance has always been a part of my lifestyle.
What was your first big break/how did you get started? And how did it come about?
After three years of working out I saw amazing results. I remembered how hard it was for me at the beginning because I didn’t know what I was doing when I went to the gym. I wanted to help others, especially people who were also beginning their fitness journey and didn’t know where to start or what to do and so I got certified. I’m happy to say I’ve been able to transform hundreds of lives.
What accomplishment to date are you most proud of?
The one thing that I’m most proud of is being able to transform hundreds of lives through health and fitness.
Why did you launch your brand?
I launched my Hurricane Fitness brand in 2015 when I was in college in Ghana. You might ask what I studied in college? I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (Marketing). I started a free fitness camp on my campus just to keep people fit and bring awareness to health and fitness. It became very big and I started going to universities in Ghana, getting interviews on TV and a lot more. In 2016, I travelled to New York to visit and I did bootcamp classes and that’s how my brand began in the United States.
What is one thing we should know about you and your classes?
